$37,000 Raised at the 3rd Annual Golf Day

On Friday 15th March 2019, we held the 3rd Annual Feel the Magic® Golf Day at the beautiful Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club.

Guest MC for the second year running was the all class,  James Bracey from Channel Nine who did an outstanding job hosting the event.

A total of $37,000 was raised from the day which will enable us to have a direct impact on 37 bereaved children’s lives at our upcoming April 2019 Camp Magic® program.

Once again the ‘weather Gods’ were on our side, providing us with perfect golfing conditions after a previous 24 hours of torrential rain.

Attendees were lucky enough to witness Camp Magic® young gun, James Drover along with super Mum Kelly, share their inspirational story of how their loss empowered them to get out of their comfort zones and support other bereaved children and families in similar situations.

Feel the Magic ambassador and Wests Tigers enforcer, Josh Aloiai was also a special guest speaker on the day.

Josh spoke about the heart break of losing his Dad at age 14, his NRL career and his recent experience as a Camp Magic® mentor, highlighting the importance of early intervention of childhood grief.

Rugby League legend and Triple M broadcaster, Mark ‘MG’ Geyer was also set to be one of our guest speakers, however due to a family emergency had to unfortunately make an early exit and couldn’t take part in the formalities on the day.

All in all another sensational and successful golf day!

The day’s success would not have been possible without the generosity and support of our amazing event sponsors,

Gold- Griffin Air-Conditioning, Priority Advisory Group and Channel Nine.

Silver- Penrith Toyota, Drummond Golf Penrith, Big Swing Golf Penrith, Supa Centa Moore Park, Wideline Windows and Doors and Devotion.

Bronze- The Avenue Real Estate, Mid-city Windows, Norwest Commercial Real Estate, Transcom Services, Hearts and Science and SDG Land Development Solutions.

Thank you to everyone else, who took part on the day and volunteered, your contribution is also greatly appreciated.

Last but not least, a big CONGRATULATIONS, to the 2019 Feel the Magic® Golf Day Champions, Brent Tedesco, Matthew Ryan, Mark Paul and Carl Pearce.

Well played everyone and we look forward to seeing you back in 2020.
